Fishers Sertoma, a non-profit organization, has been donating financially and physically to a vast group of causes and organizations since it’s charter began in 2001.  Last year besides sponsoring and awarding $500 to the Freedom Essay Contest winners for participating Hamilton County schools, they also donated over $5,000 to such organizations as Prevail, that serves the community as an advocate for victims of crime and abuse in Hamilton and surrounding counties, Lutheran Child and Family Services, a  non-profit organization which provides care and counsel to enhance the dignity and quality of life and those in need, Kids Wish Network, and the hearing impaired with the National Sertoma.

We have been raising our dollars most recently with Bingo night at CampSertoma which has decreased our local exposure in Fishers. Since Fishers  Sertoma is celebrating its ten year anniversary the club is asking for the assistance of the community to find those causes or organizations that we can support.  “We are planning to donate $500.00 each month to qualified Fishers organizations or causes”, said Lynn S. Fischer, in charge of Marketing and Historian for the club.  Expanding our donating efforts and broadening our membership base to more local interests and businesses, is our overall goal for the years ahead.  We would love to hear from all of you.
